It is with great pride for St James' Church that we announce that our Rector, Rev Dr Stefan Collier, has been chosen as Rural Dean for the Diocese of Chester. 

The installation of Stefan as Rural Dean will be on the evening of Tuesday 13th January 2026 at 7pm at St James' Church, Christleton, Chester. After the ceremony, there will be refreshments over the road in the parish hall. Celebrating with us will be officials from the Diocese and representatives of Chester Deaneries.

We envisage a very busy evening and with this in mind we ask that if you wish to support Stefan in his installation, we have provided a sign-up sheet so you may add your name to attend the event. This sign-up sheet is at the back of the church.
