A message from our project lead, Ken Rivers, on behalf of the Parochial Church Council (PCC).

St James recently submitted a planning application for a small ground floor extension at the back of the church on the north west corner. 

Our aim is to create a more flexible space inside the church to enable St James to better deliver its mission. The changes involve flexible seating in the nave where chairs will replace the pews, and provision of toilets , as well as enhanced kitchen facilities for simple hospitality and meeting areas in the church extension.  

This will enhance the diversity of worship which St James can offer and make it a more welcoming and inclusive environment. Whilst the changes will enable St James to more effectively deliver it’s ministry, the changes will bring significant benefit to the villages the church serves as a whole by offering additional flexible space …
