It's necessary to change the date of the September lunch. Now 22 Sept. Apologies for any inconvenience, but it has been caused by staff availability difficulties. Everyone in the kitchen must be trained in food handling & hygiene requirements and be able to cater for large numbers. Not everyone can do that.
The August lunch and those from October onwards are unaffected - only September has changed.
We hope you can come and enjoy good food & fellowship. You don't have to book a place (except for the Christmas lunch) so just come - we'll be pleased to welcome you. For a vegetarian option or special dietary needs then just talk to us in advance, or on the day before the meal is served. Thank you.
We welcome any voluntary cash donations towards costs. Often, there's a contactless card machine as well.

Belts & Braces is a group for men, and it meets in the Christleton Institute (The Stute). Instead of twice a month we now meet every fortnight on a Tuesday morning. 10.30 am to 12 noon. Also, the fixed charge has now been removed, so it's free to come although we do welcome donations towards costs. Tea & coffee and maybe a biscuit. You don't need to be an Institute member - all are welcome.
We are looking forward to remembering with the community those fallen in the World Wars on Sunday. Please aim to gather at the war memorial in the centre of the village for 10.45am. The act of remembrance begins promptly at 10.56am, followed by a service in the church to which all are very welcome.
Please also note the folllowing public notice. Thank you.
The council have reviewed the village face book page and identified that in the past a parade has taken place without a legal road closure.
To our knowledge, the road has never been formally closed.
Unfortunately, the church were not notified of this in time for today’s service and do not have up to a £1000 to close the road.
With this in mind, we will need to do things slightly differently this year.
Therefore, please ensure
as we now gather for our civic, community act of …
