I'm sounding out how many people from our community would be interested in attending a quiet day during Advent on the theme of healing. A number of people have asked me what exactly is a 'Quiet Day'? A very good question. It's pretty much what it says on the tin i.e. a day when we can get away, both physically and spiritually, from the hustle and bustle of our everyday life and spend time praying, meditating, reflecting or simply 'wasting time' with God. Many quiet days may have a theme and the facilitator will offer a framework for the day including optional activities. Quiet days are for everyone, no prior knowledge is required, just a desire to spend time allowing God to speak to you. What constitutes a day? I hear you ask.
