Remembrance Sunday

We are looking forward to remembering with the community those fallen in the World Wars on Sunday. Please aim to gather at the war memorial in the centre of the village for 10.45am. The act of remembrance begins promptly at 10.56am, followed by a service in the church to which all are very welcome.

The council have reviewed the village face book page and identified that in the past a parade has taken place without a legal road closure.

To our knowledge, the road has never been formally closed.

Unfortunately, the church were not notified of this in time for today’s service and do not have up to a £1000 to close the road.

With this in mind, we will need to do things slightly differently this year.
