We have advertised carol singing around the wards at the Countess of Chester on 17th December 2025 from 6.30pm. However, in view of the Super- flu outbreak it may be the case that this is cancelled so before you depart or make any arrangements it is VERY IMPORTANT to check in with the Chaplaincy on 01244 364543 or email coch.chaplaincy@nhs.net.

St James' Church clergy and parishioners came together at the Mercure Hotel, Christleton on Friday evening for a spot of wonderful  carol singing!  The carol singers' efforts appeared to be very warmly received indeed by guests at the hotel....some even saying it was better than the football!!!

David Cummings B.E.M. Church Development Project NEWS

As our fund-raising thermometer for St James' "New Beginnings Church Development Project" climbs evermore skywards our excitement grows with it! We are truly amazed and so thankful to the community for their efforts. 

Our latest fund raiser was a talk given by David & Beryl Cummings at Christleton Parish Hall on Saturday 11th October. The talk given by David was in memory of the late former Headmaster of Christleton High School, Mr Phil Hodges and his wife Pat. The talk was also about the history, wildlife and scenery of the Isles of Scilly. This event was very well attended indeed. The amounts raised have so far been calculated at £930. Mr Hodges was also a very keen artist and has been involved in providing artwork for a number of local publications for many years. Additionally,  some of his works are still being sold. Janet & John Milton's Coffee morning 10.30am Tuesday 9th July 2024

Our annual popular Coffee Morning at Janet & John's home and  garden for the benefit of St James' Church to be held on Tuesday       9th July. Starting at 10.30am. Not just coffee or tea, but wonderful cakes. Produce sale and raffle as well. All welcome.
